In this interview Rachid Aadnani, who teaches Arabic Language and Literature at Wellesley College, discusses the relationships between the varying forms of Arabic, from dialectal to the Classical, as well as the interaction between Arabic and other languages in places where the linguistic situation is complex, particularly Morocco and the other countries of the Maghreb. The interview was conducted during the summer of 2002 at the Arabic School of Middlebury College.
